- VIS female Athlete Health and Performance Knowledge Translation (FAKT)
Female athletes and their support staff may lack of knowledge about female health considerations affecting the athlete’s well-being and performance, such as menstruation. The Australian Institute of Sport (AIS) Female Performance and Health Initiative (FPHI) was established in 2019 and created educational modules to address this knowledge gap. The aim of this study is to evaluate the implementation of the FPHI menstrual cycle and coaching considerations educational modules in Victorian Institute of Sport (VIS) female athletes and support staff.
